Windows dies, Mac saves the day

On December 4, 2006 (6), my Windows PC died.

Five days earlier, on November 30th (2), I had ordered a Mac to replace the PC, as the PC had started making strange noises.

The Mac was ordered on a 2. Then a 2 repeated. After that, 3, 4, 5. Then on a 6 the PC went kaput -- the same day the Mac arrived. The whole story is in the Sudden Switching From Windows to Mac article.
